Melbourne, 2nd Novr 1864.
Sir,
Adverting to previous correspondence respecting the removal by the Board of Land and
Works of the iron hurdles at present in the Royal Park, — and to the resolution recently
adopted by the Trustees of that reserve in reference thereto, as communicated by your
letter of the 18th ultimo,
— I have the honor to acquaint you, for the information of the Trustees, in accordance
with an order made by the Board of Land and Works on the 31st ultimo, that the Crown
Lands Bailiff has reported that the only hurdles in the Royal Park are those recently
erected near the lodge, and therefore it is hoped that the Trustees will make arrangements
that will enable those hurdles to be obtained before the end of the current year.
