Letter not found. For the text given here, see Argus, 25 January 1885, p. 4. The letter is dated to November 1864 as the latest likely date for it to have been written to reach Melbourne in late January; but see note 2 below. The Comte d'Éprémesnil was the Secretary General of the Société impériale zoologique d'acclimatation in Paris.
[Dr. Mueller read a letter from the secretary to the French Society, acknowledging the receipt of the copy of work on Pure Saddle-horses, and How to Breed Them, by Mr. E. M. Curr, sent by the council;
