Ich habe Ihnen innig für Ihre Güte zu danken mir Ihr schönes Werk über Spaniens Vegetation im 1sten Bande zugesandt zu haben. Bei meinen Arbeiten werde ich oft Gelegenheit haben es zu Rathe zu ziehen. Ebenso danke ich für die andern freundlichen Zusendungen, die ich kürzlich erhielt. Der 2te Band meiner Fragmente liegt für Sie bereit — u. der 4te wird wohl fertig sein bis ich Ihnen weiter eine Sendung zustellen kann. Durch die Übersendung Ihres Bildnisses haben Sie mich ausserordentlich beglückt.

Wir sind jetzt bei der Vertheilung von überzähligen Exemplaren an Pflanzen beschäftigt, wovon ein Theil Ihnen reservirt werden soll.

Probably Fascicle 1 (published by April 1864 (TL2)) of the sumptuously produced J. Lange (1864-6), a copy of which is in the library, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.

I shall often have opportunity to consult it in my work. I also thank you for your other kind transmissions that I received recently. The second volume of my Fragmenta
