Sir
I have the honor to inform you, that at a meeting of the trustees of the Royal Park
held 14 inst the following resolution was passed:
"That the Board of Land & Works be informed, that such hurdles in the Royal Park as
can be removed without injury or inconvenience may be forthwith removed, but that
the trustees desire that all others used for the protection of the shrubberies or
that cannot conveniently be dispensed with may be allowed to continue until arrangements
can be made for substituting other fencing."
I have the honor to be, Sir,
your most obedient servant
Ferd. Mueller.

On 20 October 1864 Hodgkinson minuted: 'that the Trustees be informed that the Crown
Lands Bailiff has reported that the only hurdles in the Park are those recently erected
near the lodge, and it is therefore hoped that the trustees will make arrangements
that will enable those hurdles to be obtained before the end of the current year.
The Board makes over to the Trustees the portable iron lodges in the Park.' The recommendation
was approved by the Board of Land and Works on 31 October 1864.
