Letter not found. The text given here is from California farmer and journal of useful sciences , 14 October 1864, p. 92. The letter is dated to August 1864 as the latest likely date that it could have been sent for the seeds to be supplied to the newspaper office.
[We are indebted, through the kindness of G. Coppin, Esq., to Dr. Mueller, the Government Botanist of the colony of Victoria, Australia, for 155 species of Australian seeds, which we shall be happy to distribute to applicants.]

Dr. Mueller is the author of a very interesting Botanical work, and we must congratulate a Colony that can boast of a gentleman whose talents have proved so beneficial to Australia, and are calculated to promote the best interests of California.
