The Under Secretary, J. Moore, minuted on 15 July 1864: 'Referred to the Government Printer to note that the sum of £20 has been placed at his Disposal by the Chief Secretary's authority No 291 out of vote 17/15 "Publishing work on Australian plants" for printing the pamphlet on the plants of Chatham Islands'. The Government Printer, J. Ferres, noted on 30 December 1864: 'The work above referred to was completed on the 8th ult. The a/c has been forwarded for Dr Mueller's certificate.'
