I have the honor to inform you that your letter of the 5th Inst
was laid before the Council of the Acclimatisation Society on that same day and that
I am directed by the Council to request that you will convey to the Council of the
Royal Society their best thanks for the promised use of the Hall.
I am further directed to intimate that any members of the Royal Society will be gladly
welcomed to the Meetings of the Acclimatisation Society which may be held in that
Hall.
