I have the honor to inform you that at a Meeting of the Council of the Acclimatisation Society held yesterday you were in company with Professor McCoy & Dr Madden appointed a subcommittee to prepare replies to the circular sent out through the hands of His Excellency The Governor by His Grace The Minister of the Colonies.
A copy of the questions to which answers are requested is herewith enclosed.

The questions are printed at the beginning of the Acclimatisation Society of Victoria's published response to them (see B64.14.01). They sought the views of respondents about animals and plants considered 'likely to be of use or ornament, whether for domestication or for varying the common food of the people, or for manufacturing, or for any other useful purpose; and whose constitution and habits offer a reasonable prospect of successful cultivation'.
