In acknowledgement of your letter of the 9th instant,

I beg to inform you that the Board of Land and Works approve of the arrangement therein proposed relative to the sale of the green weeds in the reserve between the City Bridge and the Botanic Gardens, and authorize you to expend the proceed thereof for labor in sinking holes for the reception of pines in the reserve.
