only informed me yesterday afternoon of your reply in reference to the Fallow deer.
It will now be impossible to remove them this week as Mr Samuel Wilson requested me
to give him 5 or 6 days clear notice I have written to him asking if he will have
the waggons ready for Wednesday the 11th Inst which day I hope will be convenient
to you

On the same day, 3 March, Sprigg wrote to Wilson saying he had only received a response
about the deer 'yesterday afternoon' and setting 11 March as the new date for catching
them (VPRS 2225, unit 2, p. 413, Public Record Office, Victoria).
