other parts of Western Port
for the purpose of algological investigations, the locality not having been visited
by me before.

Vic.
Since Prof. Harveys work on Australian Algae
will be finished within the next months, it is of importance that a locality, richer
than any other in Australia of seaweeds, such as Phillip Island, should be carefully
examined & I am therefore anxious to devote with your acquiescence about three weeks
for the purpose.

I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your very obedient & humble servant
Ferd. Mueller
