I beg to submit my proposition in reference to my arrangements for the administration of my establishment during my temporary brief absence in the ranges.

The proposals are in M to J. O'Shanassy, 20 December 1862 (in this edition as 62-12-20c), presumably enclosed with this letter.

If Mr O'Shanassy & yourself will kindly approve of it, I will start to morrow .
