Dear Sir—
It has been resolved by the Directors and Members of this Society to invite these
two distinguished Scotchmen to partake of a "Haggis" and a bowl of Whisky Punch at the new Hall attached to the
Bush Inn, Elizabeth-street, on Thursday Evening Next, the 9th October, previous to their departure from this Colony.
The Directors, therefore, instruct me to ask if you will be one of the party; and
I shall be still further obliged if you will send me an answer, addressed to the Custom
House, not later than Tuesday, the 7th inst.
dinner will be on the table at half-past six p.m.
tickets, half a guinea each.
