7. Aug. 1862.
My dear Mr Pamplin.
I have forwarded by the ship Moravian
to your adress 3 boxes with dried plants & other natural curiosities, which I would
request you to forward, if possible unopened to their final destination. Two of the
Boxes are destined for the muséum d’histoire naturelle, Paris, & are signed accordingly,
the third one is intended to go to Prof. Areschoug of Upsala. The freight, as you
will see by the enclosed bills of loading, is paid as far as London, & perhaps you
can kindly arrange, that the subsequent expenses are borne by the recipients. The
French Ambassador has kindly consented to forward for the
museum
anything from me, but perhaps it may be more convenient to you to send the two cases
directly off to either Prof Decaisne or Prof Brogniart.
