Letter not found. The text given here is from Bulletin de la Société Impériale Zoologique d'Acclimatation , vol. 9 (1862), p. 972. The letter is dated to August as the latest likely date for M to have sent the seeds to Lejourdan in time for the latter to have received them and communicated with the Society in time for his letter to be noted at the meeting of 21 November 1862.
