[The Secretary read a report from Mr G. Smith (under whose gratuitous superintendence the grounds are being planted), acknowledging the receipt from the Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, of a parcel of ornamental trees and shrubs, comprising several varieties of cypress, pine, cedar, &c, also a parcel of bulbs, which he considered worth about £36.
The report was received and it was resolved- "That the secretary convey the thanks of the committee to Dr Mueller for the trees and shrubs forwarded for the Institution from the Melbourne Botanic Garden"].
