‘Mr G. G. Morton having received a letter of introduction to Dr Mueller, Government botanist, visited that gentleman on Wednesday, and obtained from him
some shrubs and seeds for the cemetery and other public reserves at Learmonth. Dr
Mueller regretted that the lateness of the season and other demands upon the resources of
the botanic garden, prevented a more liberal contribution.’
