I have great pleasure in bearing testimony to the exactness, superior knowledge and efficiency, evinced by the readers at the Governments Printing Office in the revision of the proof printing of the three scientific volumes published at the Government Printing Office for my department and I can speak in the same highly favorable terms in reference to other documents which emanated out of my own office or from that of my scientific colleagues in the service.
For the masterly manner in which this service is carried out, it requires not only longer professional training, but also a course of superior education.
Ferd. Mueller,
M.D., FRS.,
Gov. Botanist
