I have the honor herewith to return you the letter from the Government of South Australia
and to inform you that the Superintendent states that the following animals can be
sent to Adelaide with the permission of the Council viz

The letter from the Chief Secretary of SA to the Chief Secretary of Victoria requesting
an exchange of animals in their collections was referred to M, who referred it to the
Council of the Acclimatisation Society. The letter is in the notes to M to J. Moore
16 April 1862. G. Sprigg to M, 24 April 1862 (in this edition as 62-04-24c), reports that the Council referred the matter to the Superintendent of the society's grounds at Royal Park.

I have the honor also by direction of the Council to request that you will mention
as animals the Council desire to posess the South Australian Wombat, the Kangaroo
Island Wallaby & the Red Kangaroo.
