I have the honor to inform you that the letter from the Honble the Chief Secretary
of South Australia
was laid before the Council of the Acclimatisation Society yesterday and by them referred
to the Superintendent for him to report upon.

16 April 1862. The letter asked for 'animals birds &c' (Unit 1, p. 166, VPRS 2223, Public Record Office, Victoria).

The Superintendent's report was read at a Council meeting on 29 April 1862 and subsequently reported to M; see G. Sprigg to M, 30 April 1862.
In future the meetings of the Council will be held on Tuesday at ½ past 2 instead of Wednesday.
