Decreed that a man distinguished in the study of letters and a master renowned for
outstanding merits in the sciences, FERDINAND MUELLER, Doctor of Philosophy, Director
of the Melbourne Botanical and Zoological Garden etc. etc, be a member of its college,
linked by the study of letters, which it wanted testified by these letters patent.
