distribut.’, in the register of inwards correspondence at the Office of Lands & Survey

Sir,
I have the honor to inform you that it is proposed to plant a great number of trees
in the Parks and Reserves near Melbourne, during the approaching season, and it is
desirable that the Board of Land and Works should ascertain the number, description,
and age, of the young trees that could be supplied for the above purpose from the
Botanical Gardens. I shall be obliged by your furnishing me with the information at
your earliest convenience.
