In reply to your circular, dated 27. December 1861, I have the honor to inform you, that the animals for which the advance of £100 was made on 7. Oct. last have as yet not arrived and that I am thus unabled to adjust the account respecting them at present. Meanwhile I beg to transmit to you the receipt of the honorary treasurer of the Acclimation Society, who forwarded the sum for the purchase of animals to India.
