Melbourne, 3. Jan. 1862.
Sir
I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to sanction a transfer of the sum of seven pounds Sterling (£7.- .-) from the forage-vote (C.S. 454) to the vote for stores, in order to enable the Gov. Storekeepers Department to liquidate outstanding accounts to the amount of seven pounds Sterling, which are incurred in excess of the available vote, certain articles supplied to my establishment having proved more expensive as originally calculated.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your most obedient & humble servant
Ferd. Mueller.
The honorable the Chief Secretary
