19. Sept.1861
Sir
I have the honor to inform you, that I have been requested by the members of the zoologic
Committee to solicit, that you will be pleased to sanction a transfer of one hundred
and twenty pounds Sterling
from the vote "purchase of animals and expenses connected with their introduction"
(already placed under authority No 413) to the vote "forage and food for animals",
in order to enable the Committee to provide the necessary sustenance for the animals
in this establishment during the remainder of the year and to liquidate such forage
accounts as are still pending and incurred by the very increased requirements of the
augmented number of our animals.

Marginal note: '£120.- .-'.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
