I have been instructed to forward you the accompanying document, and to request that you will be so good as to return the same, when you have inspected it, with your report thereon.

At an Exploration Committee meeting on 23 August 1861 that M did not attend, dispatches from Alfred Howitt’s expedition to Cooper’s Creek were considered and it was agreed that the report on plants should be forwarded to M with a request that he report thereon (Box 2088B/1).
