My dear Dr Mueller,
I received a letter from Dr. J. Hooker by the last mail with a Prospectus of a Flora of Australia to be published at the expense of the Colonial Governments of Australia.

on the subject he informed me that the Executive Council had agreed to give £50 annually for seven years I hope therefore you will get your Government of Victoria to give similar assistance and then the work will no doubt be soon commenced.
