Sir
I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to grant permission of cutting
the Capeweeds in the reserve between the botanic Garden and Princes Bridge. By this
means this troublesome plant will be prevented from flowering and seeding and thus
finally be extirpated. The value of this herb as a fodder plant is so small, that
no payment to Government for the concession of cutting the plant can well be expected.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your very obedient and humble servant,
Ferd. Mueller.
The honorable the President of the Board of Land & Works
