Sir,
I am directed to inform you that on the proposition of Dr Ayres seconded by Mr Ed.
Mellish, you were elected a corresponding member of the Royal Society of Arts and
Sciences at Mauritius, at the meeting held on the 5th instant.
The Museum at which I am the Curator possess an Herbarium & if you would kindly contribute
to its increase by specimens of Australian plants, I should be extremely obliged.
I could, if you desire, send you Mauritian plants in return.
