Yr letter of the 17th Ulto
requesting that when the present lease of the toll on the St Kilda road expires permission
may be granted for the passage of the vehicles of Visitors to the Botanic Gardens
through the Govt reserve near Princes Bridge, having been submitted for the consideration
of the Bd of L & Works,
I am desired to inform you that the Bd cannot provide funds or in any way encourage
the idea of forming a road through the reserve in question.
