On the 19 Jan 1860 I took the liberty of forwarding to you 26 copies of our phil transactions

I took the liberty of soliciting the distribution of them to the adresses of the Scientific institutions of Britain, with which we exchange publication and feel persuaded that you with your well known kindness would comply with our solicitation.
Not having heard of the arrival of these publications by last mail, I entertain a fear, that the parcel never reached you and beg therefore to adress you on this point. Should [namely]

any unforeseen occurrence have caused the non arrival, I will as soon as I hear of it, renew the sending, in order that our intercourse with the learned bodies of Britain may not be interrupted.
Towards the end of the year I shall have time to arrange the duplicate specimens of plants, which have been gathered for distribution and I shall not fail to send then also a set to your establishment.
If you at any time desire anything particularly from here for your museum, pray command my services. I would be obliged, if you at any time could send me conveniently a copy of the rules of your R. S.,
