My very dear Sir.
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your two kind notes of yesterday, this day noon & to express my appreciation of your very kind but too flattering remarks towards myself, which you were pleased to make.

Museum before the council at the next meeting, and I need not say, that my Collegues are sure to be as gratified as myself for the generous offer of your support.
An appointment to wait on the Chief Secretary at 12 o'clock prevented me yesterday from waiting for your return, but I hope to be soon able to pay you a visit & to see simultaneously the manyfold progress made in your excellent museum.
I suppose the Hamburgians will be glad for anything from Australia, that you may be good enough to send them, and I will gladly arrange the transit.
We will have on Monday a meeting of the Explor. Committee, to receive a final expression of the members of the eligibility of Major Warburton as leader. Will you favor us with your presence & your good judgment
I send what I believe will complete your volume of the fragmenta & will gladly let you have an other for your private library. I think I have a second species of
