My dear Professor Balfour.
Mr Jam Thomson, on his voyage to Edinburgh has declared himself ready to take a parcel to you, & altho' I was desirous to forward bot-specimens & seeds to you, I could not find time to do so this time, but will not fail to avail myself of the opportunity of sending to you & to the scientific Institutions of Edinburgh the last vol of the R. S. of Victoria together with the completing fascicles of the fragmenta phytograph. Austr vol. I.
