I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to permit closing the gates
of the botanic Garden on Saturday next, in order that the Horticultural Society may
charge an entrance fee of admission to their show.

On 2 November 1859 the Under Secretary, J. Moore, directed: 'As this charge was authorized
last year authority may [issue] to Dr Mueller to make the same charge this year'.
