[A letter was read from Dr. Mueller, the Government Botanist, requesting the donation of a portion of watercress seed lately imported from England, through the agency of Mr. Commissioner Powlett, from Mr. Harrison, nurseryman to the Queen, in order to its being sown in the Botanic Gardens. The Commissioners directed that 1 lb. of the seed should be forwarded to Mueller,

and requested that he would recommend a person to superintend the sowing of the seed at the Yan Yean reservoir.
