I have the honor to solicit your permission of closing the botanic gardens for visitors on Friday and Saturday morning in this week, and to levy at the gates a fee for the admission to the Horticultural Society's autumnal exhibition during the afternoons of those days, such having been likewise the custom on all former occasions.
The fee fixed for visitors, who are not members of the society, is to be 2/6d from 1 o'cl. p.m. and 1/ from 3 o'cl. p.m.
