Sir,—
Permit me to inform the public through your paper, that the Commander of the 40th
Regiment, in compliance with the wishes of numerous ladies and gentlemen, has altered
the hours formerly fixed for playing of the military band at this garden, and that
we shall enjoy henceforth the music from four till six p.m. on every Wednesday throughout
the summer.
Mr. Johnson, the bandmaster, has obligingly furnished the following programme for
tomorrow, to which you will, perhaps, kindly give publicity.
Obediently yours,
FERD. MUELLER.
