Gregory transmitted the duplicate of M's report to the Colonial Secretary's Department, 7 June 1857 (No. 60/57, MS Q430, p. 51). It was acknowledged by the Department on 9 June 1857, with a request for Gregory 'to call upon Dr. Mueller to furnish another copy of his report to accompany the Governor General's Duplicate Despatch to the Secretary of State' (No. 463, MS Q427).
