B55.09.02, or possibly B55.13.02. After his return from the North Australian Exploring
Expedition, M sent a further copy to the Royal Society of Tasmania together with copies
of B55.11.01, 'Musci frondosi Australasiae ab Dr. Ferd. Mueller (i.e. C. Müller &
Hampe (1853)) &c. &c.', and Gregory's report of the North Australian Exploring Expedition
(presumably A. Gregory (1857)); see Courier (Hobart), 21 April 1857, p. 2, in a report of the Royal Society's meeting of 15 April
1857.
The work by Müller & Hampe on mosses was part of the series 'Plantae Muellerianae'
based on M's collections from South Australia and Victoria that he sent to Sonder.
Sonder organized the description, if new species, and listing of the collection and the
publication of the resulting lists in the journal Linnaea, and it is probable that '&c. &c.' referred to other articles in that series. Articles
published from vol. 25 up to the first two issues of vol. 28 could have been available
to M by the time he returned from the North Australian Exploring Expedition in early
1857 (see TL2 under Schlechtendal for dates of publication of the parts). For some
examples, see the editors' citations to 'Plantae Muellerianae' under the names of
Sonder, Braun, Hampe, Klatt, Lindley, Meyer, Meisner, C. Müller & Hampe and Bentham.
M was a joint author with Sonder of one paper in the series, B53.14.01.
