Mein lieber Ferdinand.

Weil Onkel gerade schreibt, so schreibe ich mit. Ich will Dir nur sagen dass die Bücher angelangt sind, Onkel hat da schon in gelesen. Ich habe neulich auch einen Brief von Bertha bekommen, wenn ich Briefe von Euch erhalte so freue ich mich doch so sehr beinahe als ob ihr selbst kämet. Pastor Martens kömmt hier weg von Tönning, er hat heute seine Abschiedspredigt gehalten, welche sehr schön war. Wir waren alle zur Kirche. Mein Ferdinand der Wochen-Wagen fuhr nur von Rendsburg nach Friederichstadt, da war ich schon ängstlich, aber Onkel und Tante hatten schon für mich gesorgt, sie schickten Herrn Martens nach Friederichstadt, mit dem ging ich nach dem Hofe. Ich spielte mit der kleinen Tochter, legte mich zu Bett, stand wieder auf u. ging zu Fuss nach Tönning, wo ich Uhr 12 ankam.

Du Studierst wohl noch immer so fleissig dass Du wohl kaum Zeit anwenden machst dies Geschmier zu lesen, nicht wahr? O mein Ferdinand ehe Du aus Kiel reist, beglückst Du mich doch wohl noch mit einem Briefe von Dir, nicht wahr? Das Geld in Husum ist noch nicht bezahlt, denn es ist noch Niemand von uns in Husum gewesen, dem ersten der hin kömmt belästige ich damit.

Sie essen nun u. wenn ich nicht bald komme so essen sie mir alles auf. Nun lebe recht, recht wohl, mein lieber Ferdinand, u. denke recht oft an Deine

I am writing, too. I only want to tell you that the books have arrived, Uncle has already read in them. I got a letter from Bertha recently; when I get a letter from one of you I am always so very happy, almost as if you were coming in person. Pastor Martens has been moved from Tönning, he gave his farewell sermon today, it was very beautiful. We all went to church.
