Uncle wants to accept the boats at the valuation that Mother gave for them, but Authorities
want them valued again, and if they are valued at less, Uncle will have to pay difference.
Uncle sold his large house to Dr Stolborn(?)
who is marrying this week. I think he got 4,000 (do not know in what money)

Rostock was the chief city of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, which had its own currency; Tönning
was in the Duchy of Schleswig, then under Danish jurisdiction, and had two currencies,
that of the old Schleswig-Holstein (used throughout Iwanne's letters) and the Danish
currency. The money was probably from the winding up of Louise Müller's residual affairs
in Rostock, following her death.
