In der Ruhe des Sonntags konnte ich ein Weilchen freimachen, um die letzten Pflanzen
Ihres Sohnes aus der Nähe des Avon zu benennen.
Falls er noch dort ist, würde ich besonders rathen auch beim Baden, Fischen u.s.w.
durch seine Freunde die
schwimmenden
Wasserpflanzen sich bringen zu lassen. Auch fehlen uns aus der Region, welche ich
nur einmal schnell durchritt u zu spät in der Jahreszeit, noch immer die
kleinsten
Gewächse.
Ich mache
heroische
Anstrengungen, die
Grenzen
der Verbreitung sammtlicher Arten Australiens festzustellen für die Supplement Bände
der Flora. Ihr Sohn in W.A. ist in einer ausgezeichneten Lage örtlich dafür zu wirken;
aber die "Showy" plants sammelt Jeder. Es handelt sich also besonders um
Aquatics
and minute plants.
Ich danke Ihnen über die Auskunft betreffend den Doctor. Es ist derselbe, dem ich
vor Monaten die Gelegenheit gab, die 2 grossen Hospitale u die Blinden Anstalt genau
zu sehen.

In the peace of Sunday I could make a little while free to name the last plants of
your son from the neighbourhood of the Avon.

If he is still there, I would particularly advise even in bathing, fishing and so
on to have the
floating
aquatic plants got by his friends. Also we still lack the
smallest
plants from the region that I only rode through quickly once and too late in the
season.
I am making
heroic
efforts to establish the
boundaries
of the distribution of all species of Australia for the supplement volume of the
Flora.
Your son in Western Australia is in an excellent position to work locally for it,
but everyone collects the "showy" plants. Therefore it particularly is a matter of
the
aquatics
and minute plants.

The promised supplement to Flora Australiensis (Bentham (1863-78)) that was never completed.
I thank you for the information concerning the doctor.
It is the same, whom months ago I gave the opportunity to closely inspect the two
large hospitals and the Blind Institute.
