Your present specimens came only 2 days after your last letter, dear Miss Hussey, so I can do the naming only now. The Xerotes, just received, is X. dura FvM. It is a comparatively rare species.

would make a neat pot plant in European bot. Gardens. So ripe seeds would be welcome. Best thanks for the seeds of Strange to say, specimens of with ripe seeds are wanting in my large collection of dried plants, which I commenced 1839, which fills two large halls, and which amounts to about one million sheets!
