You will be gratified to learn, dear Dr Dyer, that the difficulty about the continuation of the Flora Australiensis had been overcome, as Mr Bailey has now receded from the position, which he had adopted, and left the field to me alone. The hon. the Premier of Victoria has kindly sanctioned the issue of the volume from the Gov. Printing Office of Melbourne, and the first batch of msc is now going to the Gov Printer already.

With regardful remembrance your
Ferd. von Mueller.
