Mit dieser Post erlaube ich mir, hochgeehrter Herr Professor, Ihnen eine Sammlung von Algen u Phytozoen zu senden, welche Fräulein Hodgkinson an der Mündung des Richmond-Flusses im subtropischen Ost-Australien sammelte, auf meinen besonderen Wunsch. Da die Örtlichkeit in Bezug auf Algen wenig untersucht ist, wird Ihnen für geographische Algenkunde dieser kleine Beitrag gewiss willkommen sein. Zurückbehalten habe ich nichts.
Die Phytozoa möchte ich Sie bitten, an einen Special Kenner in Europa zu übersenden, da Neues darunter sein möchte.

M used here the ending -en that would normally be translated as -ae. However, the word is translated here in the form usually used in English for referring to this group of organisms. Note that M used both 'Phytozoen' and 'Phytozoa' in this letter.

collected at the mouth of the Richmond River in subtropical East Australia at my particular request. Since the locality is little investigated with respect to Algae, this small contribution will certainly be welcome to you for geographical studies of Algae. I have retained nothing.
I would like to ask you to send the Phytozoa to a specialist in Europe as there might be something new among them.
