My dear Baron
Many thanks for your note of 20th instant
enclosing Mr Thiselton Dyers letter, which I will attend to at once. Some of the
volumes he wants are out of print and cannot be furnished.
I do not know how it is that the later ones are missing. I believe they have been
forwarded. I think I had better perhaps write to Mr Dyer and explain that they have
been sent addressed to Botanical Gardens Kew instead of to Royal Gardens, Kew. Perhaps
they may be recoverable.

Thiselton-Dyer had evidently asked for volumes of the Transactions of the Royal Society of Victoria to complete the holdings at Kew.
