Sie haben ganz recht in dem, welches Sie über Anerkennung im eignen Lande sagen. Der grösste Planzenkenner hier, der mit deren Erfordernissen in Culturen durch ein halbes Jahrhundert vertraut ist, darf noch nicht einen Acker Grund aus den Tausenden Ackern offentl. Gartenlands hier bei der Stadt für sich haben!

You are quite right in what you say about recognition in your own country. The greatest plant specialist here, who is well acquainted with its requirements in cultivation for half a century, is not yet permitted to have one acre of ground from the thousands of acres of public gardens here in the city for himself.
