Sir,
I desire to express my thanks to you for the very kind and thoughtful act of sending
the book "First help in accidents"
which I am sure will be of great service to me in the case of sickness or accidents.
The printed slips are interesting, and I hope that I will be able to send you some
new plants.
1
First help in accidents and in sickness: a guide in the absence, or before the arrival,
of medical assistance (Boston Moore, 1878).
I leave for Hergott
on Monday to purchase Camels. It will be quite 3 weeks yet before I make a final
start. Heavy rains in the extreme Far North promise a favorable season for travelling.
2
Hergott Springs, SA, now Marree. Lindsay was about to set out on an expedition from
Hergott Springs to the Gulf of Carpentaria.
I will be glad to receive the seeds for planting as you proposed, and will also be
glad to avail myself of any suggestions you — out of your extensive knowledge — may
think fit to make.
3
See M to D. Lindsay, 15 October 1885.
I am
Yours very faithfully
David Lindsay
