Bei nochmaligen durchlesen Ihres Briefes, geehrter Herr Tepper, finde ich, dass Sie mich auf ein kleines Ex. von
Acianthus caudatus

Search for Acianthus caudatus in

als von der Kang. Insel geschickt hinweisen. Ich habe es vergebens unter den letzt-gesandten Pflanzen gesucht. Es scheint daher verloren zu sein.
Sollten Sie noch ein zweites Ex. haben, so bitte ich um ein Darlehe desselben, damit es genau untersucht werde; ich würde es Ihnen als bald zurück erstatten.

I find that you refer me to a small specimen of
Acianthus caudatus

Search for Acianthus caudatus in

as sent from Kangaroo Island.

SA. Tepper evidently supplied another specimen; see M to O. Tepper, 29 August 1885.
I have looked in vain for it among the plants last sent. It seems therefore to be lost.
Should you still have a second specimen, I request a loan of it, so that it will be investigated closely; I’d restore it to you as soon as possible.
