Diesmal möchte ich Ihnen nur mittheilen, edler Freund, dass ich Ihnen in nächster Woche durch das Agenturhaus von Mr Tate frei , ein Kästchen senden werde, welche einige in Alcohol conservirte Eidechsen u eine kleine Schildkröte enthält, welche alle nahe Cape York (Nordost-Australien) gesammelt wurden. Die kleine Schildkröte mag vielleicht neu sein, u in dem Falle wäre es gut, solche bald zu beschreiben, da jetzt mehrere Zoologen in Queensland u New South Wales alles Neue das in deren Hände fällt, gleich bearbeiten.
Allerlei Anderes grösseres liegt bereit für Sie, aber nicht genug um eine Kiste zu füllen.

This time I would just like to inform you, noble friend, that I will send you a small box in the next week free through the agency of Mr Tate,

which contains some lizards and a small tortoise preserved in alcohol, which all were collected near Cape York (north-east Australia).

The small tortoise may perhaps be new and in that case it would be good to describe it soon , since now several zoologists in Queensland and New South Wales immediately work up all new things that fall into their hands.
Various other larger things lie ready for you but not enough to fill a box.
